The Vermin Aerial Target System is designed to provide training environment for anti-aircraft troops. The system contains aerial target drones, a mission control station and a pneumatic launcher. All components of the system are manufactured by Eurotech Sp. z o.o.
The system provides:
- Target simulation for radar, IR or electro-optical guided systems
- Multiple-target simulation (up to 6 drones)
- Complex tactical situations
- Autonomous flights according to programmed waypoints (separate for each drone)
- Catapult launch or wheeled take-off
- Recovery via parachute
- Safety algorithms
Autonomous flights of the drones are possible owing to a digital autopilot of Eurotech’s design. The waypoints are defined by GPS coordinates and altitude. A drone can be equipped with various types of payload like: adjustable radar cross sections, IR transmitters, IR decoy pods, smoke generator, lamps, and towed IR transmitters.
The utility of the system has been proven in the field tests which included direct target kills. Vermin target drones are used by the Polish Army as well as foreign markets.
